The world's only formation aerobatic wing walking team will be making a welcome return to the flying display at this year's Air Tattoo.
Based at the former Royal Flying Corps airfield at Rendcomb just outside Cirencester, the team has been display flying for more than 30 years, representing several large brand names throughout their history. Flying atop vintage Boeing Stearman biplanes, the wingwalkers perform a breath-taking sequence of acrobatic manoeuvres and handstands whilst strapped to the top wings.
The team pilots fly the aircraft through a well-rehearsed energetic routine of dazzling aerobatics and close formation flypasts as the wingwalkers, who experience speeds of up to 150mph and 'G' forces of up to 4G, wave at the crowds. Three aircraft will be performing in the flying display, with a fourth example taking part in the static line up.
