Luscombe 8A Silvair

The Luscombe 8 is a family of aircraft very popular in the general aviation market. It is a conventional tailwheel aircraft with side-by-side seating for two, first built in 1937. 

The 8A is powered by a 65hp Continental engine and over 5,000 were produced. Top Gear and Grand Tour presenter James May owned a 1946 8A.
