Please be aware that the grass length in the enclosure may be longer than expected (at least 7 inches). The reasoning behind this is due to the need to improve the effectiveness of our bird deterrence and in-turn reduce the chances of bird-strikes. Short grass is attractive to birds so the adoption of a long-grass regime is a very effective airfield bird deterrent. It spoils their habitat by restricting their vision at ground level, thus reducing their security, and also by considerably restricting their access to food sources in the soil.
