Historic Pembroke to Fly at Scampton
Published: 24 Aug 2017
We are pleased to confirm that a rare transport aircraft has been added to the five hour flying display at Scampton Airshow on 9-10 September! A Percival Pembroke C Mk.1, previously a Royal Air Force transport aircraft but now in civilian ownership, will be taking to the skies on both days in just over two weeks time.
Scampton Airshow will give you the opportunity to see the Pembroke and its forerunner, the
Avro Anson, flying separately above the historic airfield of RAF Scampton. There are only two examples of each aircraft left flying in the UK, with only a handful of other examples still in use around the world. This adds to the amazing RAF heritage experience on offer to visitors at the airshow; from following in the footsteps of the famous Dambusters to seeing Cold War exhibits in the Heritage Centre.
